What's your favorite car?

I searched for a post like this and only say "your favorite car you've owned." So, what's your favorite car of all time? Doesn't have to be your dream car, maybe you've got a thing for original VW Beetles, doesn't matter.

I think my favorite car of all time is the Porsche 993 Turbo. First time I saw one when they were first released I couldn't believe how gorgeous it is, in Guards Red (or maybe it was Candy Apple Red back then...don't remember). I didn't know about the different model designations so all I saw was a "1995 911 Turbo."

What's yours?

Ooh, nice choice.

Any particular Corvette Marlin or just the line as a whole?

Lotus Esprit '95 S4S

In 1995 this car produced 300HP and had 4.6s 0-60 times all from a 2.2L 4cyl engine.

I saw the original in person at RUF :) Wonderful piece of auto history there.

All Corvette's, even the 6cyl Corvette.

After my Wife got her first Corvette she wanted to get one of each Gen. I had to break it to her that old Corvette's go up in Value, not down and we are not rich. So just 1 for us.

too many to pick for me. i really like the chrysler ME 4-12 simply because it was a pretty ballsy move, and they even had a working prototype after only 1-2 years.

I know a guy who has a 1953 Vette and every year thereafter until 1971 along with about 30 other rare/semi rare cars.

Porsche 356 Speedster, or 550 Spyder.

Unfortunately, the closest to either that I have owned was a 1967 Karmann Ghia.

FWIW, I always really liked my older brother's 1968 Oldsmobile 442...

That was the first car of that type I ever rode in. Awesome.

Edit: Favorite car has got to be the McLaren F1. Nothing else even comes close.

Carrera GT most likely.

It's got everything that matters. Looks, performance, and sounds like an orgasm.

Realistically though, I'd say a Corvette Z06 or the car I'm driving now.

Most people may consider mine pretty silly, but I've always had a thing for the 1987 Buick Grand National.

On a race track, to show off in, to enjoy the engineering, just to look at, etc, etc: another vote for McLaren F1

Honorable mention:
To enjoy driving on the street on a warm sunny day: 1st generation Mazda Miata

I think my all time favorite has to be an Aston DBS. I know it's new so it's not exactly a "classic" or anything, but it is exactly what it is supposed to be. It has strinking lines that are smooth and aggressive at the same time, a big motor that sounds amazing, comfort that's rarely matched, and drives like a car of it's stature should.

Honorable mention:
Any variant of the Ferrari 250 (GT, GTO, California Spyder, etc.) It is THE Ferrari. Takes a lot of work and driving skill, but will reward your handsomely for your effort and will turn heads until the end of time.

Nothing wrong with that. As I said, it's your favorite, not your dream. If I had unlimited resources and could buy anything a 993 Turbo wouldn't be my dream car, but it's probably my favorite of all time.
