its always been firefox for me. I love all thier add ons and i cant be without foxmarks. Ive been trying out chrome for a while and i kinda like it. I like how the tabs are on top of everything which makes them easier to use. Plus its very clean and simple. I still havent tried safari yet. IE's boring and from what i hear not safe. If google starts coming out with add-ons for chrome i think im sold. So whats you favorite and why?
 
When I was still using my Windows box I used Firefox exclusively. Now that I'm running OS X I use Safari because I've found Firefox on OS X seems to be very error-prone.
 
I don't really have a favorite, I mean its just a browser. I do prefer Firefox the most, but use Chrome occasionally. I don't typically use IE because it always seems much slower to me. I've never used Opera, so I don't know if I'd like it or not. I used Safari (on Windows and on the Mac at work) and never really liked it. Wasn't necessarily bad, just didn't find it any better than anything else.

Is it me or is IE just slow (the app itself). Sometimes when it loads pages, you just get the waiting icon like the program locks up and needs a little time (yes even on fast computers)? I seem to never get that from FF. Sure memory-wise sometimes FF had memory leak issues but even then IE just feels sluggish loading pages. It's almost like the rendering algorithm makes the program lock up and uses heavy CPU resources or something.
 
Chrome first FF second.

I used FF from the day it came out, but the issue with it I have is the memory management. Chrome does it the way I want (which is create an individual thread for the tab) for most things. I still use FF depending on what I'm doing though or it isn't supported in Chrome.

I do use IE still, but only for netflix player to watch now.

I went in the opposite direction, I used Opera for years, but FF pulled me in slowly.
 
I still use IE, have no reason to switch, its pretty fast, stable and simplistic.. I've used firefox and it seems slower that I.E or more than 1 machine..

I really don't like Macs that much. My MBP came from my school so I didn't really have a choice in the matter. There are actually a lot of things I don't like about OS X... but that's another thread altogether.
 
I primarily use Firefox in Windows though I've been playing with Chrome a lot recently. In OSX, it's about 50/50 between Safari and Firefox.
 
Anybody who appreciates the fact that we have web browsers should be using Firefox. Your poll should combine Netscape and Firefox as one. Microsoft played nasty to get IE on the map by using strong-arm techniques instead on innovation to enter the browser market. They shouldn't have gotten away with it (technically they didn't since they lost the antitrust suit but the penalty was less than symbolic), and every time I am forced to use IE it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Which is why I'm reluctant to pay much attention to Chrome or Safari. If more people remembered which side their bread was buttered on, Microsoft would be forced to stop using proprietary development tools and methods and everybody's pages would work in Firefox.
 
I'm not real picky. I use FF for it's addons mostly but IE7 and Chrome are cool with me too.

That's like saying if you want to buy American you have to buy a Ford not a Chevy. In case you haven't noticed IE has been making pretty big strides towards standards compliance.
