fair enough. For the most part I agree (single malt > blended), but I have a special place in my heart for blue label...

MM seems to make my friends (and myself) a bit stupier than normal. It's a lot of fun, in the right atmosphere. 😀
 
I only drink JB when it's $2 JB&Coke nights. I felt bad about drinking it over one of the drinks I like better, but 5-6 drinks in I felt a hell of a lot better. 😀

I just bought a fifth of Knob Creek. I usually put my bourbon/whiskey in the freezer so it's already cold instead of melting the ice when I mix with Coke. Do you recommend this with Knob Creek? Also do you sip it or mix it?
BTW, the bottle I got has a copper (real metal) tag on it that has engraved "Bottled Exclusively for Frugal MacDoogal's Wine & Liquor Warehouse" with Fred Knob's engraved sig. Do they do this for most larger liquor stores?
Ever tried any other in the "The Small Batch Bourbon Collection" (Baker's, Basil Hayden's, Booker's)? I'm sure you know the father of Knob Creek's master distiller used to be the master distiller of Jim Beam.

Maker's Mark is whiskey too, 'Bourbon Whiskey'. Jack Daniels is 'Sour Mash Whiskey' (referring to the processes. Aren't they about the same thing, just that bourbon is made in Kentucky? And from the JD website, "Every bourbon and Tennessee whiskey is made using the sour mash process.".


Anyone tried any of these (besides the staples)?

Why not invest the $ in a good Scotch? I'm not partial to Bourbon, bu a single malt aged whiskey is a thing to cherish (plans on stealing some of my mother-in-law's stash from her trip to Scotland tomorrow).

i've only known one other female to drink dickel allisolm - and she was from tally as well, used to pour it for her on occassion when she'd visit the bar i worked at🙂

i'm a crown man usually, although some makers is quite nice too!
