I'd have to agree that Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is one of my favorite IPAs. Guinness makes one of the best export stouts but I think Murphy's pub stout is up there with the Guinness draft. Rogue I2PA is a nice "big" beer. I'm going to California for Thanksgiving and I'm looking foward to trying some of the West Coast beers I can't get here.

But for the best...

Howling Lion Brewery > all.

It shouldn't be that expensive....you can find it online at Bevmo. Love it too

Guiness, however, rules all.

I have successfully cloned Chimay Blue. At $.50/12 oz bottle I have the real deal. I still have some that I made last year (it improves with age).

My favorite beer is the stuff I brew myself. Just did an IPA and it's great stuff. If I have to buy beer I like Sierra Nevada Plae Ale, Red Hook, or Newcastle Brown and Miller Lite if I am drinking one after another.

Better get started. It usually takes about a month for a beer to be ready to drink.

We may not be able to have it ready in time. plus we don't have $300 to blow on a kit right now.

If you shop around you can get a set up for less...maybe half depending on how resourceful you are.

Cheap beer - OE 800 (so much better than Busch, Miller Highlife, Natural, it's cheaper and has more alcohol)
Good Value - Yuengling and Amber Bock
Expensive - Newcastle

Lets see:

rarely because of cost: Samual Smith Oatmeal stout. You Guinness drinkers have NO clue what you are missing, this stuff is so much better. About $2.50 a bottle though.

occasionally: Flying Dog IPA. Pretty good stuff for the cost

Frequently: Magic Hat Blind Faith, Arrogant Bastard, Rolling Rock (we all need something cheap, right?), Yuengling (sooo good for the cheap price of this)

Of course, I have 5 gallons of Oatmeal stout that I just brewed myself, so these will all have to wait for a while :p

Best I've had is probably Bells Amber Ale. But that's too expensive for me... so out of the ones I normally drink, Molson Ice or Budweiser.

Man, that is one of the worst cheap beers out there. If you are gonna go cheap, go with either Miller Highlife or Pabst Blue Ribbon. Keystone Light tastes like dirt :disgust:
