What's your expectation about Iphone6?

As now the two big mobile phone producer has released their latest phone, like htc the one 8, and Samsung S5. But it seems these two gadgets doesn't have any innovation in them.

Now my whole expectation is on Iphone6, hoping it will give us some surprise!

What's more, I want to use my latest bluetooth speaker to match the new surprise.

With the rumors I've heard, the iPhone 6 will be playing catch up to top android phones. 1334 x 750 4.7 inch screen, same 8 megapixel camera. Faster cpu, but only 1gb of ram. Going to a sapphire crystal display would be a nice improvement, but not if they want another $100 for it.

Because it will make a really cool Powerpoint slide at the "next big thing" event?

Here's how the live blogging event will look:

(Anand) : Apple announces sapphire glass based front display unit

(Poster1) : OMG!!! Sapphire glass front! GAME CHANGER!

(Poster2) : Samsung just got pwned!

(Poster3) : Just placed my pre-order. ne1 know how much my 5S is worth now?

I expect a long line around the block going to every Apple store as the thronging shrews line up to be the next to jump off the cliff.

I expect it to be the fastest selling smartphone of all time, maybe the fastest selling consumer electronics device of all time.

Lot of pent-up demand for a larger screen iPhone....

Then we'll just have to wait until the Galaxy Note 4 launch, where Samsung introduces it's Sapphire glass technology.

I really dont see the benefit of synthetic sapphire on any part of a device. I understand that it may be 3-4 times stronger but is it really enough to stop a break when dropped? And is it worth the extra cost?

I guess we'll know when its released and the drop test happen.

I don't think sapphire will be any more effective against edge impacts, which is the main type of impact we really need to protect against anyways.

I agree with you. A larger iPhone is going to sell very, very well.

I expect a larger screen even though it goes completely against their own commercials. However, a larger screen won't make me switch.

I'm on the fence about screen size. As small as my 4S is, I really like how pocketable it is & how easy it is to use one-handed. iOS 7 has made it quite a bit slower (I regret upgrading from iOS 6), so I wouldn't mind having an updated, speedier phone in the same size format. Like an iPhone 6 (3.5") and an iPhone 6+ (4.7"). I don't think they'll go back to the smaller format now that the 4" 5S is out tho 🙁

I think the rumors are true. A 4.7" model in September. A 5.5" model in November/December. The 5C and 5S remain in the lineup. I don't think Apple will make another 4" iPhone once the C and S leave the lineup down the road.

They'll make the iPhone 6 crazy thin, which is awesome on one hand, and sucks on another because keeping it iPhone 5/5S thick would most likely mean better battery life and instead we'll get equal or 5% better battery compared to the 5S. Apple makes their iPhone's thinner every 2 years and I don't see that changing.

Recent rumors speak of rounded edges and I hope that's the case. I can't stand the flat and sharp edges of the 5/5S. Ergonomically it sucks.

Both the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhone's will be massive hits for Apple. Assuming Samsung doesn't release a Prime model this year, Apple's flagships will look very VERY appealing compared to the large and heavy S5, M8, and Z2.

No way they discontinue the 4 inches. IMO the small size makes it vastly preferable to larger phone which are annoying to carry.

Larger phones will be akin to the iPad mini. They'll be a sop to people who want that form factor.

If they wanted to, they could have easily made a larger phone long ago. Easily.

Translation: Samsung was right, Jobs was wrong.

Everything about this move tells you otherwise. I predict the C will live (as "cheap") but the S will die.

Sapphire is more resistant against scratches but it may actually be more prone to cracking in terms of edge impacts. A bit of engineering could solve that though (a thin ring of plastic around the rim to absorb impacts for instance).
