Mine is 5 days and 3hrs right now.

I guess that's my record too, since I used to shut down the comp every night when it was in my room.

seriously. I never install new software or hardware, and since its running win2k its 100% stable. last time it was rebooted was from a power outage

When my stupid cubemate unplugged my power strip. Before that I'd been up for a couple days.

NT 4.0 SP6

I just lock the workstation when I go home for the night, though technically they want us to shut them down.

Oh well.

C:\Program Files\Resource Kit>uptime
\\SUPERNOVA has been up for: 19 day(s), 12 hour(s), 10 minute(s), 39 second(s)

Last reboot was to install some critical updates, IIRC.

AMDPwred: In Win9x, you could run System Information and it would say there, but not in Win2k. If you have the resource kit, just run the command I mentioned above. If not, you're SOL.

you can also go in Network Properties and check the status of your network adapter. Its usually the same as the system up time.

Actually, Microsoft offers the "uptime" program separately from anything else... that's where I got it for my Win2000 comps. Do a search on Microsoft's web site.

hey I ain't sh!tting you, I have been using win2k on my machines since I got my hands on it as soon as it hit the internet. I can honestly say that I've experienced 100% stability with windows 2000. your mileage may vary, but in my mind win2k is a solid OS. my computer is a stable monester, just like I built it to be.
