amd k6-3 400

Looking at going mid-range this holiday season. Barton 2500+ probably. Maybe P4 because of video editing performance.

XP 1700+ Tbred B - Main box (had it up to 200x11, limited by my POS RAM)
XP 2000+ Tbred A - Dad's box
Duron 700 - PHP dev box
Duron 1000 - Media box
P2 233 - Not-working-yet *nix box
P3 450 - No home for this lil guy yet

Athlon XP 2500+ Barton (at 3200+ speeds) (Main PC)
Athlon XP 1800+ (Work PC)
Pentium 4 1.6 (Mom's PC)
Duron 1GHz (Sister's PC)
K6-2 300 (Router)
K6-2 500 (Collecting dust)
P3 550 (Collecting dust)

I have an aging Pentium 4 2.0A Northwood.

I bought in January 2002, and I'll most likely replace it with a Prescott this time next year.

Edit: That CPU is in my main box. I have another with a Intel Pentium III 866, and a Pentium II 450 in my Linux box.

Here, At Work- Athlon XP 2000+
At Home- Athlon 64 3000+
At Home, Older System- Dual Athlon XP 1800+

In a few cases the 3000+ feels slower than the Dual box, but for games it's much faster.

All the good ones - diversity counts! (each line is 1 rig)

Athlon MP 2000+ x2
PowerPC G4 1 GHZ
UltraSPARC IIi 167mhz (eventually to be 250mhz x 2, when I get around to installing them)
MIPS R4400 250mhz

That's my dualie Maya 3d graphics workstation (Linux), my Powerbook G4 17" (original 1GHZ version) (Mac OS X 10.3), my Sun Ultra Enterprise 3000 (Solaris 9 8/03), and my SGI Indy (IRIX 6.5.22). All of which are functioning machines, all of which are used quite frequently (typing this on the Powerbook as the dualie crunches on some Maya stuff and the Enterprise 3000 provides the network routing).

hey guys, just a quick question. if I have a amd xp1800 and have crucial ddr 2700 ram.. I should at least have the FSB set at 166 right to make use of the ram speeds? B/c I think my xp 1800 cpu's default FSB is 133 but it can run higher.
