P4 2.8/800fsb

<does a little dance>

Can't wait til winter break when I can get back to whats important- teh games 😀

anyone know what the average 'real' user CPU is out there? Is it the 1.2-1.7GHz range or higher?

I don't game actively anymore other than emulator stuff like apple ][, mame and amiga or just quake type games for fun not max fps so I am set with my radeon 8500 and 1.5GHz tualatin team 🙂

If I rendered a lot I'd kill myself though.....however I don't think even with a 3.06GHz P4 rendering would ever be 'snappy'.

Å

AMD Thunderbird 1.2GHz

AMD Duron 900MHz

AMD K6-2 500MHz

Intel Celeron 400MHz

Intel Pentium II 300MHz

Intel Pentium II 233MHz

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned and quoted a couple billion times already,

"My C.P.U. is a neural-net processor--a learning computer."

What are we here, a bunch of normal people?

I think I have the only aqzea 2500 that won't do 2.2ghz on stock voltage (currently @ 2.0ghz stock voltage). 😛
Also, a 2400 in my wife's computer, and a 1ghz athlon in the closet.

P4 2.6C @ 3.26Ghz (on an Abit MAX3)

P4 1.8A @ 2.4Ghz (Epox 4SDA+)

Barton 2500+ @ 2700+ (Epox nForce2, forget the model)

Thoroughbred 2000+ (Soltek 266A mobo)

see sig although Dell keeps tempting me with their constant deals to buy more. Fortunately, it's xmas time and I really like buying stuff for others this time of year instead of for myself.
