O Negs are awesome. We basically have the superhero blood type. Everyone can use our life juice.

O+ The most boring blood type ever.

Actually, AB+ types are the most lucky since they can receive blood from everyone.

Probably hard as hell to get matched for an organ donation, though, should you ever need one.

But I think you can only take non-typed blood once or something. So an AB+ can take O- once, but after that they gotta get AB+.

I heard that somewhere. No idea if it's true or not.

Not true.

Blood group AB individuals have both A and B antigens on the surface of their RBCs, and their blood plasma does not contain any antibodies against either A or B antigen. Therefore, an individual with type AB blood can receive blood from any group (with AB being preferable), but cannot donate blood to either A or B group. They are known as universal recipients.

Why? From a blood typing perspective it's exactly that same...universal recipient. From all of the other requirements, it has no effect.

A+ I think. Can't remember 100% if I'm + or -. I donate platelets every 2 weeks though.

B-

I haven't given in a long time. They used to have drives at work, but we've laid off so many people that I guess it just isn't worth it anymore.
