Still wetting the bed are we?

You could spill something on your bed. You could throw up on your bed.

There are tons of reason to have a vinyl cover.

mattress -> fitted sheet -> me -> comforter and lots of pillows.

I hate top sheets. They annoy the hell out of me.

normal sheets are 100% useless

they keep your comforter clean. also good if you live somewhere that isn't cold.

mattress
mattress pad
fitted sheet
me
sheet
down comforter

at least in the winter... I use the sheet between me and the down comforter because it lets me avoid the hassle of stuffing the comforter inside a case or something.

If its hot, I'll omit the comforter.

Its is really hot, I'll omit the sheet too.

If its really cold, I'll put on pajamas.

Ewww... that's nasty.

Seriously... My wife and I got it as a wedding gift. It turns out that my wife likes to eat and drink in the bed... It's saved our mattress twice and made spills as easy to fix as swapping out the sheets.

The only downside is that if you don't have the featherbed on, it makes the sheets cold in the winter and you can feel the plastic. With the featherbed, you don't even notice.

Anyhow: King Sized Mattress $800-1800 - Featherbed $90-150.
The featherbed can be dry cleaned.
