Whats your bedding setup?

does anyone actually do sheet -> sheet -> fuzzy blanket -> comforter like at hotels?

at home i just sleep on a sheet that wraps the mattress, and under a comforter. adding more layers in there gets it all jumbled and messed up and harder to redo in the morning

only when my wife does it the "right way"

then it migrates to whatever for a few months until she "fixes it"

mattress pad > fitted sheet > sheet > fuzzy blanket (like the ones at hotels) > comforter

I don't really move when I sleep, so it's not in a big wad in the morning like it might be for some.

Same, though I'll omit the fuzzy blanket during the summer, because it's too warm.

normal sheets are 100% useless

Same, and I agree completely.
Normal sheets provide no warmth or comfort at all, they just make it harder to roll around in my sleep without getting tangled up.

I'm in a similar situation. Subtract a blanket, add a cat and you get:

mattress pad - fitted sheet - me (2% of bed space)/pregnant wife (95% of bedspace) - sheet - comforter - cat (3% of bedspace).

Under normal circumstances the cat would get the boot (and wife wouldn't get 95% of bedspace). But I've learned not to anger a pregnant wife. Me booting the cat -> cat goes away for a while -> cat comes back on wife's side of bed (cat knows better than to get near me) -> cat jumping onto bed wakes up wife -> angry sleep-deprived wife.

OP: How often do you wash your fuzzy blanket? 'Cause if it isn't very often, you are nasty.

mattress-->mattresspad->newly washed fitted sheet (+gf's phone)->me/gf*->sheet->thin blanket/cotton blanket/comforter

*optional feature available on select nights

mattress->fitted sheet->me->sheet->comforter

If its hot, I'll omit the comforter.

Its is really hot, I'll omit the sheet too.

If its really cold, I'll put on pajamas.
