All three of the Silent Hill games. A pity Silent Hill 2 wasn't anywhere near as scary as 1 and 3. Though it did take me a minute to notice that the game had gone from cutscene to in-game rendering.

Gran Turismo 2, loved the intro movie.

Resident Evil intro, it was horror B-movie video that was good because it was funny.

Resident Evil

Legion: Legend of Excalibur (or whatever it was called) for PS2 had great cutscenes, but the game was horrible.

Ultima Online

It really isn't all that pretty of an intro but the dude's voice and narration made the game seem so deep and meaningful. Looking back on it today(which is still on the disc after 7years) it looks like crap and seems like a joke. But in '97, it was magical.

Unreal

???

Wasn't the intro to Unreal the little skinny Dale (King of the Hill) looking guy on a space salvage mission with some big fat oaf? They get obliterated by something.

Or was that Quake...or something else entirely.

Well, Full Throttle was good too.

edit: OH OH OH!!! And the intro to the impact battles on Legend of the Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon!
