yo, was that in response to me? If so, there's a reason I left out "little dick" ;)

Have you tried cetyl myristoleate for the arthritis?

I am easily manipulable.
Some weird girl who just moved to Seattle is trying to lure me out there with offers of free steak.
I have two cars too many but I don't want to get rid of any of them.
I lack the ability to disguise my smitten-ness from certain girls.

But I'm graduating in April and then I'll have a shot at the real world. Of which I am scared beyond belief. :p

Oh man, where do I begin:

1. Severe hyperhidrosis - Had the procedure (Bilateral thoracic sympathectomy) that can correct this in 80% of people. Instead of getting better, my sweating got worse. My hands and face were dry, but everywhere else was 10x worse. I had the reversal procedure and it was unsuccessful. Currently, I am a sweating beast. This problem developed when I was a sophomore in college.

2. Rotten teeth - Both my parents have really bad teeth. I have bad teeth. I've lost count of the cavities. I also believe that medication from #1 accelerated my tooth decay problems. The meds completely dried my mouth out...and saliva helps w/ decay prevention. I will probably need dentures before I hit 40.

3. Chronic ear infections - since I was little, I've had ear infections. I never had tubes. My pediatrician said they probably wouldn't help me.

4. Ingrown toenails - Since the 10th grade, I've gotten very bad ingrown toenails. 10 years later, I am having the procedure to cut each side of the nail (next week). You know you're good at fixing your own toenails when your podiatrist gives a compliment.

5. Acne - Almost 26 years old and still suffer through breakouts. Went through one cycle of Accutane in the 10th grade. It cleared up greatly, but was still bad. My family could not afford a second cycle.

6. Razor burn - No matter how I shave, with all the brands of razors, and trying several different lotions/aftershaves, I get a "ring of fire" on my throat. The hair is very curly. I don't know what to do.

7. Eyesight - I wear glasses. I am nearsighted and am darn near blind w/out my glasses. Also, my right eye is 3x worse than my left.

8. Overweight (I need to lose about 40 pounds) - My fault. I don't blame McDonalds or Pizza Hutt. I was on Atkins, as an experiment, to see how I would do. I lost 30 pounds. Within the next few months, I plan to start the diet.

There are dozens of other things that are wrong, but feel that I'll just become depressed listing them all ;)

Due to #1 and 2, I rarely go out or socialize. #1 has cost me great jobs (I'm a civil engineer intern). I have no life and spend most of my time playing on my computer. I guess I should be happy that I'm not dead, yet...

Had to have a large portion of colon removed due to a birth defect going bad, so I need to drink more water than most people. I get real thirsty more easily now.
Other than that , I'm perfect! :D

How do you know if you have an ingrown toenail. I think I've got one but havn't gotten it checked out. BTW, You've got balls to seriously post all your problems. More so than many people here.

If I drew a branch of all my problems, they would all stem from one. That one problem being complacency (hope thats the word) / apathy. I am generally lazy and have a hard time changing things in my own life. Even when I know the solution to my problem, I have a hard time taking steps towards that solution.

In October 2002 I had this procedure performed on both of my big toes. Couldn't walk properly for about six weeks. It was odd trying to teach myself to walk again. Advice to you: keep strong meds on hand. The doc had applied some sort of topical anasthetic, but once that wore off I woke up screaming in pain and basically lived off Tylenol 3's for the next few days. The healing process is very involved (soaking feet, applying ointment, gauze, and bandaids) on a daily basis. Invest in some comfy big shoes as any little thing will make you wince in pain if it touches your feet. But it was very worth it.

Good luck.

I already went to the podiatrist. He said I definetely have a problem with ingrowns on both feet. Next Wednesday, I have the procedure done.

Heck, I don't mind posting my problems. It's nothing new. I've mentioned every one on this board at least once since I've been a member. Besides, if someone has similar problems, we can chat and trade ideas on how to deal with the problem.

I feel for you, Paige. I hurt all the time too. (Fibromyalgia) So I feel like I'm about 78 instead of 28. I've had 7 surgeries for different things in the last 10 years.

*Sigh*

Medical problems suck. *HUG* Feel better, girl.

I am healthy, happy, and really have nothing of note wrong with me healthwise.

On a more selfish and vain level I worry about my hair thinning with age.
