Whats wrong with winxp setup

Hey,

I'm trying to install windows XP, and I keep getting these errors after it downloads the latest setup files from MS. I'm wondering whats wrong?

Setup could not copy d:\i386\mfc42. dll to c:\windows\setup\
Setup could not copy d:\i386\migisol.exe to c:\windows\setup


Then setup will just say it can't work anymore. Does anyone know what is wrong?
 
Most likely bad or scratched cd media, is this an original or a backup cd?

Dont let it download the updates from MS simple! ;0 Well i find my system is faster w/ plain xp no sp's, but thats me!
 
Its not scratched, Im getting it from my network CD drive and I just installed XP on another pc with the same disk!


I tried telling it not to download, same error 🙁
 
Weird. Only suggestion is the usual, clean the cd (just in case), check the harddrive jumpers/cables...
