A handle for 27 bucks isn't all that bad. And this is coming from a poor college student.

Exactly!!

Why would anyone want to bother buying a larger size if the larger you go the more you are paying per ml??

It's a rip off!! Cheaper just to buy a few smaller bottles then one bigger one.

So much for buying in bulk.

That is very common. If the 1 L bottle is in high demand, its price will go up. That happens with many, many products. Buying more at one time isn't always the cheapest option. The best example that comes to mind is toilet paper. Around where I live, the 12 roll packs are always significantly more than double the price of the equivalent 6 roll packs.

That's why I never shop by price, but by the price by volume number on all price tags.

Unfortunately those tags are often useless. Back to the TP example, they often quote price per roll. But there are single rolls, double rolls, triple rolls. Also different brands put more or less on each roll. The best measure for TP would be price per yard, but I've never seen a store do that. So you have to still do the math yourself.

What a rip off!!

200 ml = 2.375
375 ml = 2.12
750 ml = 1.72
1000 ml = 1.795
1750 ml = 1.54

7.5/100ths of a cent more per ml than the 750...

Hardly worth being indignant over.
