What's wrong with this picture?

After doing a clean reinstall of Windows XP Home Edition the following problem exists in Internet Exp.: Often when we click on a picture to enlarge the picture or to go to a page associated with the picture, the page or larger version of the picture will pop up in a relatively small window for about 3-5 sec. Also, when the picture is clicked we get an audible error signal and a small red cursor (can't see what it is) will appear to replace the regular cursor.😕 Could this be a security setting? We use ZoneAlarm, Spybot Search and Destroy and Norton Virus. Thanks!

Thanks. I'll try this when I return home tonight. Could Google Popup Blocker conflict? I did not realize we were using MS Popup Blocker!

not sure which of the two could be the culprit (have not used google's blocker), but if you're seeing this symbol at the bottome of the IE window, then it's IE's own.

We do not have SP2 installed, therefore, we do not have the MS Popup Blocker. The error symbol (I've looked closer) appears to be a red, clinched fist. It Pops up very fast and disappears just as quickly. Any further thoughts and suggstions are appreciated.

Genius! Thanks. . . I uninstalled the Earthlink tool bar (tried turning Earthlink popup blocker off, didn't help) and all is well. Pages also load faster. Thanks much!🙂
