I was about to post that, then I remembered that my girlfriend's 7K250 which is in use everyday, is still alive months later.... along with another friend's 120GXP.

Appears the Deskstar issues disappeared => 120GXP series.

I think we got past the worst of it with the 75GXP series. Those things were horrible.
