I have WindowsXP installed, one version that I use and has alot of programs installed and one that is raw and has nothing but the most important drivers.

What happens that when I run games the computer crashes alot. Counterstrike, crashes sometimes. DOD, crashes often. And now Dungeon Siege, crashes at least every 5 minutes (ANOYING:|).

I dont know what could be causing this so I need ideas.

This is my system

MSI 6167 motherboard
Athlon 550mhz @ 700mhz (had it running at 750 but lowered it some time ago to try to fix this but didnt work)
256mb sdram (two 128mb chips)
Matrox G400
SB Live!

Does it crash on your basic install or the one that is loaded with stuff or both?

That`s an AMD 750 chipset right Czar? Anyway if it `s, have you installed the latest AMD mini port AGP driver 5.33 for it,I would clock back to default speeds first and start from there, have you done the usual normal BIOS tweaks like disable all video shadowing in BIOS,disable system bios cacheable. Also I would keep PCI slot 1 empty(nearest to AGP slot),even on XP/Win2K systems.

Yes thats a 750, going to hunt for those amd mini port drivers.
I have been running it overclocked ever since I got it, was on 800mhz for half a year and since then its been on 750mhz (did it because of heat issues, not unstable though, just heated everything else in the box :p)
Slot below agp is empty

first drivers then bios tweaks... hope your tip works :)

Ok so your board seems too old for that driver, also try running AGP 1x in BIOS and slower memory speed settings, that might also help.

I tried setting the good old amd reg fix and that seemed to help somewhat, worked now longer than ever before. I also tried disableing video shadowing and that did nothing, couldnt find the other thing.
The memory is currently on 100mhz with cas3 so I dont know how I could slow it down.
