What's wrong with my icecubes?

Uhhh.
This isn't the first time this has happened, in fact, it's happened ever since we got new ice trays. Those aren't all-the-way frozen, I just filled the tray about half an hour ago, but it stays like that until they're completely solid. Naturally, this only happens on the tray at the top of the stack.

I thought that "Uhhh." would be a pic of your Ice Cubes all torn up.

edit: I guess I should hint towards shoes and not real H20 ice cubes

My guess would be that is where the tube extends down to fill the trays with water, and it freezes like that.

No icemaking facilities in this fridge. Just loose trays in the freezer.

It's probably those cheap Walmart ice cube trays.

Why the fvck would they cause THAT?!?! It makes no sense! It's a container! Water is supposed to freeze in the shape of it's container!

It's due to air movement in your freezer and the fact that water is slightly polar (magnetically speaking). It also has to do with the rotary specs on the girder of your freezer.

The Cal Tech link disagrees with you.

Also, sanity.

Please...this is ATOT... don't take anything seriously. 🙂

I think if you rub it with your hands for a little while, it'll release some liquid and go away.

I've had that happen a few times too. And like the link says, I use RO water which is pretty close to being distilled.

Well, I use my tap water, which is just about half a step away from being mud.
