Ok guys, I dont know whats going on here, I have an athlon xp 2600, with a stock heatsink and fan, Asus a7v8x-x, 2 case fans one blowing right at the cpu and the other out. I get about 50-60 C at idle, and up to 73C when its running alot of stuff... I dont think this is normal at all! My case temps are quite low, at 30C usually and never over 35C. So what is going on here!!

1. Is your heatsink mounted properly using thermal pad or grease?
2. Is your motherboard's sensor properly calibrated?
3. Are your drivers up to date?

hahaha......same here, except 71ish. under systool calculating a looped 8 million pi digits for somewhat 16 horus it hit 76.....

try an external heat sensor device.
