what's wrong with my CDRW? more than 20% work cannot be done.

the rate of successful buring is less than 80%. there should be something wrong but i have no idea. can anyone give me some hints?

SONY CDRW 12X8X32
PIII500 384M 30G@5400rpm.
Nero 5.0 @ Windows98
buffer 128M.

always it said run out of buffer...or some similar words like that.

btw, it's not burn-proof.

see, i set 128M as buffer size..should be big enough..Nero suggests not more than 40% of size of RAM>

I had a similar problem with nero. try updating your aspi drivers.

get them here.
run instaspi, reboot, and you should have the latest aspi drivers.

hi. Burnt..that's a new drive...from compusa..30G@5400rpm. just got it a few days ago..as second drive only storing data.

GameQuoter, ur program killed Norton Internet Security program. how come? anyway, wish it works.

do you have DMA enabled for hdd,cd/dvd drive & burner in device manager?
if you're trying to copy cd>cd then perhaps your reading drive is too slow so either decrease your burning speed or image to hdd first & burn the cd from the hdd copy!
if copying cd>cd, best to have reader & burner on seperate ide cables, unless you have scsi! :)
