What's wrong with Avast! IS?

I downloaded and installed the free version and it slowed my computer to a crawl. Not only that but I couldn't uninstall it! I had to reload Windows 7 again! I'm now using AVG and it's much better.
 
I used Avast! with Win7 and had no problems with it. I suspect something else is at fault. Perhaps you were previously infected with something and it has become active due to it recognizing Avast!. Or something else is afoot.
 
You probably didn't properly uninstall your previous antivirus software and it caused problems for you, that or your system was majorly infested.

I've never had a problem with Avast, if anything its really reliable and one of the fastest compared to other antiviruses.
 
Avast lately is bloated,popups about irrelevant stuff,software updater?Really?If they keep adding stuff to it it will turn into an OS.

I have uninstalled avast from all my computers and I use BitDefender......I have not looked back!!

That is true but you can configure what popups you want to have.

Do it like me:disable them all!!!
