What's with the Nissan fanaticism?

to tell you the truth being that 'fan'-atical or loyal to one brand name is rather dumb....when i buy i buy what i like, whats reliable and what i can afford.....brand name is secondary....

its my money and i refuse to be swayed by company's marketing departments.

Patterns tend to appear with one brand or another based on your standards, without exposure to marketing. For example, if you are consistantly looking for a certain set of specifications in a car, perhaps a niche car, then often one type of car appears more often that another. Not neccesarily loyalty, but you become a repeat customer on the basis that that company continually manufacters cars and meet your needs.

I've owned alot cars since i was 16 and i left like nissan products always had an edge the others didn't...here's my previous to current car ownership

1989 Honda Accord (16 years old)
1990 Nissan 240sx (this where it began)
1994 Toyota Camry
1996 Toyota truck
1990 Nissan Maxima
1994 Nissan Sentra
2002 Honda Accord V6
1998 Nissan 240sx (now im 25)

G35 (infiniti, yah close enough )
SKYLINE!!11 /drools
240sx's mmm, they are sweet
350z, old 300z's
New Altimas/Maximas

opps, thats about 75% of their products

I wouldn't call myself a fanboy, but I bought a 350Z after trying every other car in that price segment, including: BMW 325Ci, BMW 330Ci. Ok, so I only wanted the bimmer or a Z, and the Z owned the 3!

The Z is extremely fun to drive, it looks sexy as hell (imo), it will last me forever, and it wasn't that expensive. I don't know of another sports car that could get me that much power in a sexy body for that price.

Yes, the interior of Nissans are somewhat spartan in nature, but I like it. I think the interior on my Z is pretty damn nice as well. It even has REAL aluminum finish as opposed to plastic on the bimmer

Those RWD corollas you can actually do some crazy mods to them.

There's a 1.6L turbo/SC 20 valve I4 motor with variable valve timing that mostly bolts up to the frame.

I had experience with the following cars:

1987 Honda Accord - Had One Never Did Again . Had more problems than ex-girlfriend did. First car I had drove at 16.
1987 Toyota Supra N/A - slow, bulky, but great on highways, RWD.
1989 Nissan Maxima - Pretty zippy, but handling was horrible.
1989 Nissan 240SX - torquey, handled well, RWD, RWD, RWD, but no top end power.
1995 Nissan Maxima - Zippy, pretty fast for a sedan, but HORRIBLE handling, although comfortable and luxurious.
1999 Toyota Corolla - Good grocery car, cheap, gas saver.

1999 Lexus SC300 - a friend's car. nice luxurious car, comfortable, but handling isn't as great.

1997 Nissan 240SX - is what I currently drive. Once again, RWD!

Just wait until the 350Z twin turbo model comes out later this year.
