I understand that the people who are playing the game are like any other reality show contestants, but what's with the town? How can they afford to have all these people play these parts 24 hours a day? Or do I have the whole idea wrong or what?

All I know is I watched it for about 15 minutes last night and now feel as though I've lost about 10 IQ points because of it.

I'm sure they only pay the actors for what you see. It's a real town in MA, but the townspeople on the show are all actors. They are probably regional, though, so they don't have to pay too much to fly them out there and everything. I'm sure that they have the entire story and how it's going to unfold carefully planned out and know when they are going to need what actors where.

I bet the actors are warned an hour in advance to where the guys are going ( The host basically tells 'em where to go ) and get ready to act normal. Its just like the Truman show when no one expected him to enter an office building: There were people behind the fake elevator eating donuts :)

I think it was a good idea but no way to carry through.

Watched it for about 2 minutes and never turned back.
