How come joggers run on the fvcking road when there is a sidewalk. What a waste of space, nobody uses the sidewalk.

Sometimes the sidewalk is uneven/cracked, and there is a better chance of hurting yourself through tripping or running on an uneven surface.

lol... I really like the joggers (usually 3 or more guys with their shirts off) that run through the very smack center of Turlington Plaza here at UF during class changes.
"How about all 3 of us run together with our shirts off in a crowded plaza to pick up chicks? We won't look gay."

The real reason is that running on concrete is bad for your joints because it's so hard, so joggers run on the street where the asphalt is (in relative terms) much softer

At least personally, I can't stand running on a treadmill. I don't like running in the first place, and the treadmill is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to boring (besides costing money plus space).

You're supposed to do that, as a general safety rule. This way you can see stuff coming at you and have some warning, instead of suddenly being plowed over from behind by an errant car.Originally posted by: dman
I saw a guy running on the wrong side of the road. Sidewalk was there on both sides too. That was quite annoying.
