What's with Indian people and cell phones?

Sometimes I take the really early train to work and when I'm finally seated, I enjoy that peaceful, serene and quiet morning atmosphere until someone starts yakking on the phone and I can safely say that 95% of the time it's an Indian person.
I don't have anything against Indian folk and sure if they need to take or make a call, by all means they should do so. But they should keep it short since they often are sitting next to strangers and at the very least that would be the courteous thing to do. But that *never* happens. They always have a phone stuck to their faces and often when they hang up, they usually end up dialing another number. WTF?

I should mention that people from other races do also talk loudly at times but most often than not, it's an Indian person.
I'm not even going to mention the deal about backpacks.

We need to stop this:

What's up with <insert race> and <insert member's complaint>.

Post 6 below nailed it.

A thread like this has nowhere to go, except downhill.

You sure it's not just because you have a lot of Indians in that part of CA?

I think there are a lot of Indians everywhere. Lot of 'asian' people here too from China, Vietnam etc but they don't seem to have the cellphone bug.

indian people need to be loud on the phone since they're talking to people in india. that's FAR! you can't just whisper and expect them to be able to hear you!

^ seems to be the mindset of many loud indians i see on the phone.

And whats up with the stupid white people and bluetooth headsets?

And black people with speakerphone?

Hahaha, I have the same thing at work but with a Filipino at lunch time. We can't get some down time in the lunchroom, because the rude dude constantly talks on the phone.
