What's Walmart's return policy without a receipt?

My sister bought me a camcorder for my bday, but I don't have a receipt... I wanted to return it to walmart since I already have a nice camcorder. What are my chances of getting cash back without the paper? Thanks.

They'll take back stuff they don't even sell! You'll probably get cash back.

You can pretty much wrap up crap in a box and Walmart will give you a gift card for it if you don't have a recipt.

They can't do that without an active barcode in their system to my knowledge... :p

Anyone ever had luck getting cash back? I need the money more than I need the camcorder...

Depends on the person working at the customer service desk. Sometimes they just scan it and give you cash back. Other times they tell you you can exchange it or get a store credit (walmart card).

On items in electronics and items over a certain dollar amount (or something like that ) they will force you to take store credit if you don't havea receipt.
