The better question is: Why the hell are you running 1024x768 on a 21" monitor?

I'm not having that problem. 1152x864 here.

There was someone else saying that they were having a problem with an extremely wide window when viewing search results.

Posted here earlier today. He's also at 1024x768

I was wondering that myself.

I'm running a 17" monitor @ 1024x768. It's very rare when I have to scroll - not on searches as someone else here mentioned, but when reading certain posts. I always figured that the person who started the thread had a configuration problem - or (even rarer) - when the thread begins with no problems and then someone posts a reply and you have to scroll to read it (making it a configuration problem of the person who posted the "scrolling reply".

Same here - 1024x768 on a 21". 21-year old eyes too. Crappy, out-of-focus 21-year old eyes that can't see 3 feet on their own, but are excellent with glasses. Any higher resolutions just make everything way too small.
