It says that I'm only allowed to have 50 PM's on Anandtech now... what the hell is goin' on, I depended on these for my records of who bought what/etc.... this is BS, anyone know what the deal is? I wanna start a petition or something for this....

Rather than a petition, you ought to start a collection to purchase extra hard drive space to store all of those PMs.

Ya, Zuni says not to use it as personal storage. Save any important stuff, or it'll get dumped like everything else did not too long ago...

If you're not responsible enough to take down key information and keep it safe in your own records or your own house, don't complain when someone says that they want to change around their own forum. It's not your forum. Get a life and stop complaining like you own the damn place.

FFMCobalt,

No $h*t it's not my forum nor is it X thousands of others, but it's highly inconvenient when I need to contact customers with important business information and only have a limited time to do it (I'm a senior in college with 21 credits). I'm sure you understand my sentiments, place yourself in my shoes man. Maybe you don't purchase multiple items at once, but I do a considerable amount of buying and selling on this forum. I chose this forum because it is much friendlier and benevolent than competing forums and I have gotten to know and make many friends. When I can't talk to my friends privately because of a new regulation it agitates me to some extent. Is there any way this can be set to a higher amount than 100? If you could inquire for me I'd appreciate it.

Inquire for you? Hell no. Do it your lazy self. When you realize that AT doesn't give a sh!t about how you conduct your business, and that AT isn't liable for any of your business practices, and that you shouldn't rely on somehing that you have no control over, you should be fine with the 100 pm limit.

He can't send a PM, that's why he asked. Not because he's lazy.

Come to think of it, SP33Demon, you should post this in the Forum Issues area because this is exactly the type of problem that is addressed there. Not that I'm an evil person that dances about in glee telling someone "wrong forum", I'm just trying to help.

So AT wouldn't care if 5 current buyers think they're getting trolled because I can't contact them and get their address after they have already paid? It makes it rather inconvenient and people might think I'm ignoring them, but I forgot I'm arguing with a guy who has 7 Heat in the past year. Your subjective notion of AT "not giving a $h*t" about its users raises some serious questions about your perception of morality on this forum. If you truly believe that AT doesn't "give a $h*t" about you and your concerns, then why are you a member?

But I digress.

I came here to forge relationships with great people, and contrary to your beliefs, think that alot of members do "give a $h*t" how I feel; along with the people who run AT as well. You should be cognizant of the fact that PM's are one of the primary channels of communication, and to sever it without warning is disruptive. I'm glad that you weren't inconvenienced, it's a shame that good members such as myself have been though; while people who believe that "AT doesn't give a sh!t about how you conduct your business" aren't.

Will move this to the next forum, thanks maetryx! :)
