What's up with the emo-ness in women's sports?

First there was that college hoops sham (I mean game) where they let that girl with the broken leg or whatever trade uncontested baskets to start a game in order for her to break some record. Now you have this team in Texas, who whoops up 100-0, then feels bad about it and wants to give back the victory. WTF? Why is women's sports so sappy and emo. Can't they just play the damn game?

Did you guys actually read the article?

Dallas Academy has eight girls on its varsity team and about 20 girls in its high school. It is winless over the last four seasons. The academy boasts of its small class sizes and specializes in teaching students struggling with "learning differences," such as short attention spans or dyslexia.

Not saying that's enough information to know the situation entirely, but I'm guessing this has something to do with the Covenant team's remorse...

Don't see how dyslexia or ADD would affect one's basketball skills.

My guess would be that the "such as" would imply that thoes are but two of the ailments represented by the their student body.

Just sayin'...

You shoot behind you when you're dyslexic.

They are really good," Civello said. "Their point guard is terrific. This is what it came down to in the second half: steal at half court and layup. Steal and layup. Steal and layup. It was a layup drill. They finally eased up when they got to 100 with about four minutes left." Covenant's point guard had 48 points.

Wow, what an ass of a point guard.

why?

If a team hasn't won a game in 4 seasons then they should have gotten out of the league a while ago. 100-0? Has there ever been a recorded BB game with a complete shutout? I wouldn't want to give that up.

Nice to see the nanny state rising up with this great injustice. I only hope someone has procurred participation trophies so all involed can be justly awarded.

Maybe they kept shooting at their own basket? That would explain the 0.

Where does the nanny state come into play here?

Oh the humanity 😕

I like how the coach said they could have left the game 30-0 and had just as good of time.

It would have been dribblefest instead of basketball.

What good is it to "take it easy" on a team?

They may as well take down the scoreboard 🙁
