Whats up with the chick icons?

wow thats spooky... I thought the same thing to myself earlier and was going to post but went to lunch instead 😛 yeah I was wondering whats up with dudes (or at least we think they are...) with chick avatars?
 
You can always tell the posters who haven't graduated from high school yet...they refer to men and women as "chicks" and "dudes"...
 
I ditched the Santa Claus one right after Christmas... pondered my new decision, and chose this one solely because it said "teacher" under it. Now, if they had a Bill Nye the science guy teacher type of icon... I might chose that one.


But actually, I try to find one that isn't used a lot and I can spot quickly while scrolling through. (so I can find myself quicker in threads that mention the word "pizza" - crtl f doesn't help much in those threads)

I don't know about that...I hear chick a lot at 32. Dude, guy, man, etc depending on the context.

I live near the beach though.
