whats up with my comp? WEIRD sound problem!

I restarted my comp after useing my comp for a while and running out of resources (winME) after it got into windows my video card and my mouse were not working rite. mouse was gone and video turned into standard VGA (no colors or nothing) i plugged in PS2 mouse and it worked so i got mouse back and under device manager in display device i deleted the Voodoo3 decice and rebooted and video got back to normal but now my sound card is not working while its there in device mamanger, whats up with this?
mobo: Abit KT7A
CPU: 1.2 tbird
video: Voodoo3 2000 AGP
Sound: SB live! x-gamer

try to change IRQ settings

why would it suddenly be an IRQ probelem when everythin was working fine? i switched PCI ports and reinstalled drivers sound still aint working when ever i play something i get an error.
