It's funny, because not "everyone and their brother" downloads music, illegally. There are many alternative, such as iTunes, which I use quite often. So he is being an asshole by ripping of the artists and their companies. (Oh, and its asinine, O'Great One). And I do think before I post, which is why I can't understand what led you to believe that I don't. However, since arguing over anything is quite pointless, this is finished, here and now. I was surprised how much free (legal) music is out there for download.
If you want free legal music try going to record company websites and then click on bands. The just about ALWAYS have free downloads. 311's site has like 10 free b-side downloads that are sick...

I'm getting sick of this 'legit content on kazaa' arguement. It's so worthless. No one ever in the history of Kazaa has used it for legit content. You can say it left and right but you damn well know that dt was right because you are NOT getting legit content . Before open container laws your argument was very much like having a cold beer sitting in your cupholder when you get pulled over. 'No officer I wasn't drinking it. It's sitting there because it looks cool.' Same thing. 'Legitimate' defense as defined by law, but a crock of sh!t nonetheless
i wonder if dtyn always drives the speed limit (which i'm sure he doesn't). If he doesn't ... that would be quite ironic wouldn't it ... him feeling its ok to break the law when it comes to something he feels is ok according to "HIS" morals, but chastising people for pirating which is "NOT OK".

I know quite a few people that use Kazaa for legit reasons. There are a lot of bands that distribute their music openly so they can get a bigger fanbase. Come back when you finally get a clue 🙂
