Mc Cain, as well as so many other Republicans, are "NOW" voicing their dis-likes over the way the Bush admin does/run things. But, it wasn?t so long ago they were all in favor of the "Bush" way of doing things. I'm beginning to think so many Republicans were very opposed to "the Bush way". but really felt if they held their nose and voted for him, that things would or could be changed later. Things they did not like. Whelp, nada going to happen! Its going to slowly sink in that they got just want they voted for, and not hoped for. What?s that saying, you made your bed...

Not sure I've seen what you talking/reading about, but it might be in response to the shifting job approval and war approval ratings seen lately. I'm not so sure if Congress thinks it has its own mandate to work with. Oh, and with big groups such as AARP (i.e. heavy voters) going against the SS changes that Bush wants (Congress is up for elections, Bush isn't anymore), Congress might be taking notice as to avoid a compete slide in the next elections.

Republican politicians have been behaving that way for all of my 48 years. It's one of their greatest failings from my perspective, winning is more important than principles; however there are obviously a lot of people who disagree as their methods are working, as far as gettng elected.

Yes, if only we could all be like the Democrats, who are pillars of integrity. Give me a break.

Democrats have their failings, sacrificing everything for the good of the hive isn't one of them.

It was quite shocking to see McCain supporting Bush during the Election. He had much harsher views prior to the election.

Heh. McCain is just getting the inhouse Grover Norquist version of Bipartisanship- Date rape...

He sold out for kisses and promises from the Texas slime machine- should have known better after receiving their special treatment in 2000...

The Bushistas don't do compromise- as the voting public will soon discover, harder and deeper usually silences all complaints...

They'll just apply the moronic petulance they used on Kerry wrt Iraq- "He voted for it!" translates into "He campaigned for Us!", so now he's ours, to use and abuse as we please.

McCain agrees with the majority of the Bush/republican platform. in order to see his party agenda get furthered, he was willing to keep quiet about the minority that he disagrees with.

I've been searching for Democratic Party principles for years and still haven't found any - then there was Clinton!

Yeah, a little extra-maritial sex is worse the the killing of thousands of innocent people. What a bunch of hypocrits the Repugs have become. McCain had to tow the party line, like it or not, now that GWB is "enjoying" his LAST term (thank God) he is fair game for the party members who disagree with him and his agenda. YAHOOOOO!!
