BOO!!!:|

99 cents.? Yeah sure.

Why would I lie? Harris Teeter, Winn-Dixie and Food Lion would regularly have ground beef on sale for $.99 a pound.

I get it for 1.00 a pound when it goes on the reduced sale cause it will be expiring soon. After that I stock my freezer with it.

Fvck, it all it tastes the same to me. I make spaghetti and meatballs and hamburgers. I'm not serving a feast for a bunch of snobs
I used to think that too - then I bought some 99cent/lb Kroger beef (you guys have Kroger down there?). The stuff was terrible - I think it was 30% horse.

I don't mind a little fat in my beef, but so I usually buy one grade up from the minimum grade. And I don't buy meat at Kroger anymore (you'd have thought I'd have learned my lesson when I bought a roast that had clumps of veins in it)

Best deal ever is if you can buy a half/quarter cow from a farmer. My parents get a whole cow every year. Best. Ground. Beef. Ever. Plus you can get steaks, prime rib, brisket, etc.
