All I watch anymore is football. NFL Sunday Ticket = my fill of TV for the week. OK, I did watch Miami v Fla State, so throw in an occasional college game.

Ahh - my mistaken statement 😛 I misread what Strombv wrote (it was 2am for christ's sake 😛 ). To reiterate, I though he said he was finding it hard not to change the channel and find a gay TV show.
My stance on the argument is why get pissed off, or disgusted about homosexuality? Homosexuals have been part of culture and society since the dawn of civilization, it's nothing new. God help you if you have to be exposed to it.
I liken the growth of more pro-homosexual programming to the struggle many African Americans had to endure to get equal representation on television and in the movies from the 1950s to current. There isn't a lot of homosexual oriented programming on television, just a proportionate amount the amount of homosexuals there are in society.
Phase 4 - if you're NOT gay, gay supporter, or bi - you're some kind of evil scum and must be ridiculed as being intolerant, bigoted and closed-minded. After all, we should be able to boink anything we darn well please. Kids are gaining popularity. Animals have always been a hot seller. We're working on the ultimate in computer add-ons for all your sexual pleasure.
Man and woman? That's what's wrong. EVERYTHING ELSE is what's good and right.

Queer eye for the straight guy is funny. But I don't really watch much tv. The only problem with Queer eye, is that all the commercials are boy meets boy.

Yea, I guess it is a loaded statement - it's not human mature, but it's an "anomoly" that has always been there.

Clearly you have missed my point. Im saying there is a lot of sh!tty television out there, but people have the right to watch them, and the shows have a right to be on the air... If you dont like it, find another show in the "Must see TV" time-slot... Im sure there MUST be something else...

I just don't understand what the statement above is meant to do - what's the point of it. IIRC, it's called acting, but I still don't see how it fits in with this discussion.

Commercial TV programming is paid for by advertising revenue. Just a few years back, companies discovered that gays were a big untapped market because they tend to have dual male incomes, no kids, be professionals, and live flamboyant lifestyles (in other words, a dream demographic). Pressure was put on TV programming directors by companies and advertisers seeking to target this demographic. Hence, TV shows targeted to gay audiences.

Where in hell are you getting that from????? I've got news for you. The great majority of the gay population has no 'gay agenda'... TV and commercial organizations are presenting it that way.
You may be straight and not a gay/bi supporter, but that does not automatically mean that you are (in your words) "evil scum". Tolerance is what I want - as well as all of the other gays I know. As for boinking things... we should be able to have sex with any person of legal age, regardless of gender. Kids, animals, and computer attachments have absolutely NOTHING to do with any of it. It's isn't even a related argument.
That is exactly what's happening... as with everything else in this nation, money is the key factor. Admittedly, most gay male couples are wealthier than a traditional male-female couple... because of the above reasons (dual male income, no kids, and are professionals). That doesn't apply to nearly all of them, but it does apply to a great deal. It is indeed a dream demographic.
