Whats up with all the TV game shows all the sudden?

First there was Who Wants to be a Millionaire then that died off and for a long time there was nothing.

Now theres Deal or No Deal, 1 vs 100 and now this new one that has William Shatner hosting.

Is this the new reality TV crazy all over again but just with game shows?

Cheaper and there's a shortage of decent comedies...dramas are all the same now for the most part and Americans'll watch anything that has to do with money

I think there have been a bunch of gameshows out for a while now, but just nothing memorable enough to remember. After Millionaire died off there was that one with John Macenroe and Dog Eat Dog. Just nothing good enough to stick out, but they have been around.
