I am curretnly applying to circut city lol
Same

Right now im just a HS Senior, i make a little over $7/hr as a grocery store cashier, its a cooshy job, we can be up to 7minutes late and still punch in, were not forced to say anything thats too pushy, just point out a few sales going on.

Anyway, im applying at CC because i need more money, and the world is buyer beware after all, i don't mind pushing extended warranties to people who could care less bout a $3000 purchase to not do any research. If they don't care why should i?

So, i say stick with your job, sounds like the management team there is pretty cool and the pay is good, just remember the the person walking in the door and buys an extended warranty didn't do their research and obviously don't care about their money enough to spend it wisely, its not your job to wrry about how other people spend their money.

edit: i'd fix my mistakes but i'm on a crappy laptop.

Haha, good point. And don't worry bout the typing.

Only one other thing that bothers me is a few of the guys I work with are as$es, but its not a huge deal. I can deal with that. For now you guys have convinced me to stay, but I'll be keeping my eyes open :) Thanks for the responses.

I work in retail & yep, i am good at selling those warrantees too.

I don't really feel bad about it though.

I explain the benefits & how it can be helpful down the road, & considering the lack of computer knowledge most of our customers have, it's something that will pay off for them, since if anything went wrong, they'd be spending $80 Cdn./hr. to get it fixed.
If they don't want it, that's okay too.

The thing i hate is how much pressure my managers out on us to sell them, but yeah...it's money.

IMO, keep at it man; just be honest.
