Hi everyone!

I'm going to spend about 5 days in Atlanta! What's there to do? I'll be staying at the Atlanta Sheraton downtown. How's that area? Are there any digital theaters around? How about a Sanrio store?

Thanks guys!

:)

Some things to do:
1. World of Coke
2. Braves game!
3. see a show at the Fox
4. eat at the Varsity on North Avenue
5. CNN center, though I think they've stopped tours there
6. Fernbank natural history museum and Imax: head east on Ponce De Leon
7. Zoo Atlanta close to Piedmont Park

No digital theatres:(

Wealthy, educated, good looking young men.
Of course, half of them are likely to be gay.

Yes! Hot dogs, hamburgers, onion rings...it's a big Atlanta tradition. From the Sheraton go west on 14th and turn left on Spring street. It's at the corner of 14th and North Avenue.

Isn't that where the weather channel's headquarters is located? I'd go on a tour if they had one.

Someone took me to a restaurant called Fogo de Ciao. It was a place with buncha servers walking around, each carrying a stick of meat(filet mignon, lamb chops, etc) asking you if you want a slice. It was so awesome. I didn't have to get up to get more food. It's like a mobile buffet with homing capabilities(the food comes to you! non-stop!).

I used to live in the dorm closest to the Varsity... just across the bridge:)

I would NEVER eat that place ever again. It is a heart attack in a bag.

Heh...let's see I ate at the "Greasy V" a total of three times while I was at Tech. I don't think I went at all while I was a freshman living in Towers.

When the weather gets too hot, head out to Lenox Square Mall to cool off. (It's a huge mall!)

While I agree that Fogo De Ciao (which is in Buckhead) is awesome, it is also pretty expensive.

Notice how the women are always thin in bad suits, then get pregnant? For a while I thought they should rename it to the Pregnancy Channel

Sorry to say, my friends and I have pretty much agreed that Atlanta is fairly boring. It's just too spread out, lacks good public transportation, and has little soul. There's no real city center in my mind around which all the fun gravitates. You got to drive between Midtown and Buckhead (several miles) to catch any action. Like I said, Gordon Biersch is a great place for beer (but expensive). From there, go clubbing at eleven50, Halo, Vision, etc. There's also some historical stuff to see if you're making your first visit: MLK museum, M. Mitchell house, Coke Museum, Underground Atlanta, Stone Mountain, etc.
