A friend just texted me saying he is in the hospital. Apparently he has a mass in his chest that is putting pressure on his heart. They think its lymphoma. That's all he told me. What does that mean?

Update: It is indeed cancer. It is other cancer that has spread to his chest. He needs chemo and radiation. Even though he is a US citizen, being a Hong Kong resident, he only has Hong Kong insurance, so will have to pay for his care in cash. =(
