what's there to do in Vegas?

Going out to Vegas for a few days with a girl I met a couple years ago. Besides gambling, what's worth doing? I believe we'll be staying at the "Stratosphere" or whatever it's called.

You can see the sights ripped off from other famous cities, see shows that were originally on Broadway, shop in the stores from other famous cities and eat at restaurants whose original locations were in other famous cities. Oh and you can go out to the whore ranches in the desert.

whatever you end up doing, don't miss the fountains @ Bellagio. they really live up to the hype IMHO.

- search for Vegas threads here. there are MANY.

edit: and have a good one 🙂

Drive 30 miles east and see Hoover dam, eat at some buffets, see some shows, etc. etc. etc.
And take the Dam tour. It is dam well worth it.
There is also all types of cool shows always running in Vegas.

oh yeah, and there's a decent short free show down on the strip at Treasure Island. actually, the show is meh but the women that perform in it are very hot and worth ogling.

TONS of stuff to do. If you don't gamble, Vegas is actually one of the cheapest places you can visit!
I recommend seeing AVENUE Q.

Do yourself a favor and drive out to Red Rock Canyon if you can. Some breathtaking views out there, and something a little different from the regular vegas experience.

yeah, and once you collect enough, start smacking them together like those crazy guys... ahahahah

i asked one of them, "is this her rookie card?" 😛

We recently went. I only gambled $15, I had a great time. Jzero is right, if you don't gamble its actually a pretty cheap place to vacation. The city is so outrageous it was fun just to walk around in. They've got foot bridges all over the place so you hardly have to cross the street. There's tons of shows, which are a bit expensive for the most part. Circe de sole? shows are pretty popular...we went and saw the one about sex. And we watched the tournament of kings show at excaliber. That was is fairly cheap and a lot of fun.

The only thing we didn't do that I wanted to do was go see the hoover dam. We only went for a few days.

I actually didn't expect to like vegas, but I really really enjoyed that trip. The people were pretty nice for the most part, although some are pretty aggressive in their sells.
