What's there to do in Las Vegas besides gamble?

I have too many vacation hours that I need to use or lose. Thinking about flying, $50 through Southwest, to Vegas before the week before the 25th for 4 days. So what's there to do other than gamble? I'll be by myself if I go. 🙁

organize an ATOT meet at that time and see if something good comes out of it 🙂 Vegas has great buffets, awesome shows ('O' at Bellagio, Mystere at Treasure Island, that famous Tap Dancing one at NYNY), and gambling really ain't bad either. For a solo trip, why not do something more fun- like snowboarding?

the shows, live singing, dancing, circus acts, lots of small museums for anything and everything including weird collections, etc, etc

They have beer. And strippers. And pretty much every other form of freakdom known to mankind.

You could try to collect the whole set of prostitute trading cards that the Mexicans hand out on the sidewalks. Call a different one each night and see if you can collect all of the STDs too.

Shows

Penn & Teller

Blue Man Group

The Amazing Jonathan

I'm not a gambler and had a damn good time out there, there's just always something to do or see.

I'll probably stay at the Luxor ($60/night) and probably won't go outside.

rent a scooter! go to Skin @ the Palms and check out chicks in bikinis! walk around! Drink for free by playing penny slots!

1. eat
2. drink
3. walk around all the hotels
4. go to the dinky theme park at circus circus
5. play midway games at circus circus
6. go clubbing
7. go to a spa
8. go play golf
9. crash a wedding
10. shop shop shop

Then why are you asking people what there is to do in Vegas? 😕 You should be asking what there is to do at the Luxor. Or just go to their website.

Gameworks is a half block away from the Luxor, by the way.

I can only assume you've never been to the far east.
Vegas has nothing on Bang kock.
Or even some of the islands we have just southeast of the US.

Nope, I think Vegas is way too uptight. And (sadly) its probably the loosest town we have now that New Orleans is destroyed.

along the lines of strip clubs, what's a good one to go to within walking distance of the strip?
Not sure about walking distance but some of the nicer ones have cars that will come get you.
I used to subscribe to the annual Gentlemens Club Guide before this internet thing became so popular.
They have some places with four star cuisine and walk in humidors and conference rooms and a bunch of other classy ammenities.

not go outside? huh??!!! vegas is a town that is meant to be explored!!! u gotta at least check out the outdoor shows (the bellagio fountain, especially at night), treasure island pirate show (or whatever it's called), etc. last time i stayed at luxor--they did have a good exhibits inside the hotel (though i didn't check 'em out).

the buffets are oh so scrumptious too at the larger hotels.

if u really don't want to spend any money gambling, another thing to do to pass the time would be to go inside the hotels. the venetian hotel has the gondola rides; not sure if they're still there, but last time i was in caesar's palace, they had these cool, moving statues...i could go on & on, but i think you get the picture.

have fun! i'm actually jealous u're going. no i'm really not. planning on going there in a few months with my gal pals.
