I thought this was the GOOD thing to do? Who wants to be the man that buys the wife clothes that are 2 sizes too big for her?

The message sent with clothes 2 sizes too big is "I thought you were this fat" and the message sent with clothes *deliberately* 2 sizes too small is "You're too fat"... Just look in the damn closet and see what size she wears (look at the clothes that fit her well if you find sizes varying a little...) It's easier than getting it wrong.
Yeah, I know that women can be sensitive about the subject. We're trained from birth that we should be perfect (have a model's body) or nobody will desire us. Just deal with it.

Wow ..... My mom doesn't have much income, and I'm guilty of buying her a vacuum cleaner for xmas (her old one broke, and she wanted a new one that had a light, and that was bagless) .... so I spent a couple hundred and bought her a new one.
Her dishwasher broke, so I bought her a new one ... that was also for Xmas .....
Hmm ... None of the appliances are broken at my mom's house this year .... I wonder what to get her
ok by my calculations we are 5 sizes apart here. try to stay in the same ball park 😉Originally posted by: Ramma2

Holdhold appliances should be reserved for mother's day and anniversaries... MOM/WIFE things.

My wife is too practical... she already picked out and we purchased together her xmas gift - a new vacuum.

I think I'm going to win the "worst" gift ever category...
Our house had all hardwood floors..
Those stupid sponge on a stick mops are worthless...
So, for Christmas, I got my wife an industrial quality mop bucket & wringer, replacement mop heads, top of the line mop handle.
I spent almost $100 on the stuff.
She did not look pleased.
(oh, and taped to the bottom of the mop bucket was some sort of expensive jewelry... diamond ring or something that she wanted.)
That saved the day 🙂
My wife loves to cook. If I give her nice tools for the kitchen it's like me getting high end computer gear.Originally posted by: Citrix
one of the things i got my wife was a new george foreman grill. she used the crap out of ours and broke several months ago and has been saying from time to time that she wanted a new one.
