please give up the shenanigans. you post a lot in P&N. no way you are a black woman.

You're right.

I'm not really black, I just have Re-Vitiligo. That's when you start off white but you start turning into a black person for some unfortunate reason.

At a real job that matters? Not something I've encountered.

At shitty teenage jobs in high school? You name it, Indiana after all.

I think I was called lazy once when I worked at Burger King... my manager was one of those "you got time to lean, you got time to clean" kinda guys (and nevermind the fact that I'd been on my feet hunched over the station for the last 5 hours straight and my feet/back were killing me)

Never anything serious, but jokingly plenty of names that would get me banned if I reposted them.

"Unprofessional" and "inconsiderate" are some of the worst things a lawyer can be called, and I was called both by one of the partners in my current law firm. He took an email I wrote to in-house counsel of one of our clients (OK, our best client) out of context, and flew off the handle. Closest I have ever been to being fired . . . and to quitting my job. I've been called a lot of things of the years. But to call me unprofessional and inconsiderate is to question my integrity. I don't put up with that for very long, or from very many people. Especially when the accusations were completely uncalled for.

Thankfully that situation resolved itself. But there were a couple of weeks recently where it could have gone either way. Here is to moving past old difficulties and on to new challenges [drink].

I've been called a Theif and a Nazi, by the same person at the same time.

I work in a tow yard and we had just impounded this guys car because he was a complete idiot and had parked in the parking lot of the business across the street from his apartment and the business owner had witnesses him park and then walk across the street to his apartment.

This business only has 4 parking spots, and this idiot did this all the time and had been warned previously many times by business owner, also this was the 4th or 5th time we had impounded his car so obviously this guy was a slow learner with a IQ about equall to forrest gump.

I called the police because he refused to pay and had him removed from the property, which was great because he resisted leaving the property so the police had to physically remove him which well lets just say they did in a rather painful looking fashion, i got the impression the police had a history with this particular individual.

Probably not the worst thing, but one that always stuck with me was being called "mundane". Happened when I told one of the network admins that I preferred writing scripts rather than manually changing things. He always argued that I wasted too much time writing scripts rather than manually adjusting account settings/permissions.

I still use a few of the scripts that I wrote back then though, so I don't think it was a waste.

Not tight enough.

I needed the money :(

Aw, come on! That's so subjective... and it's really just a matter of perspective. It's not that you're not tight enough, they just needed to find something larger to shove in there.

Being in the Marine Corps, and then a Police Officer, I'd say there is very little I have not been called. Especially in boot camp, DI's are pretty creative. And then drunken idiots can be funny too when name calling after being arrested.

Growin up in hawaii theres little racist compared to the mainland, an not being white cuz I'm browner then a full blooded indian lol, it wasent really offensive when blacks herd me calling them the N word. I do know theres alot of hate in that word, but I got alot of papolo friends so they call me a N- ger too...but in the end it just matters whats the occaision I ultimately respect not calling them N for when I asked a good friend of mine why is it so offensive, he said I dont know but my mom told me never to let anyone call me that...so thats good enough for me.

My boss who's black, would always scold his nephew not to say it, but I heard him sqeeze the oh fashion awesome dude please once an a while lol.
But again it depends on the occaision, for its just like another swear word. it will fly out if I'm mad enough, just like waikiki, there was this idiot all drunk an calling out everybody down near the lobby, we were up in the hotel...he was pointing at us saying what the F you looking at, I looked at my bro then looked back an said F. U. N-ger... he said come down, so me an my bro went down, by the time we got out the elevator he was gone. lol

Not the worst I've ever been called but I did have some lady tell me

"Go eat more Twinkies ya fat lazy bastard".

It made me sad because it was post Hostess collapse and I couldn't fulfill her request.

I was called a knee-grow on many different occasions as I worked loss prevention for a few years. Not fun. And I'm as white as they come.

Well - I've had to deal with the general public so just about everything not to mention threats and assaults. Yay retail!

I used to work at an amusement park during the summers in high school and college and I had some guy threaten to beat me up in the parking lot because I "lost his kid". Attendance that day was over 20K and the guy walked away from the ride to get food while his kid was on it, by the way.

The best interaction that I ever saw at that place was between a security guard and a gift shop customer. On busy days, security guards would be posted at the doors to the gift shops and they'd check receipts to help combat shoplifting. One day I was in the store and a security guard (black) asks a customer (also black) for a receipt, and the customer replies with (I kid you not), "Why are you checking my receipt? Are you stopping me because I'm black?"

I got the race card pulled on me many times while I was working there. Always good for some lulz. :D
