Trainspotting. I thought it was a ridiculously over-hyped. I bought it on a whim for $5, friend borrowed it and it got stolen out of his car. I told him not to bother replacing it but he did anyway. :-\

Great movie :p

I don't doubt that it's great for some people... but for me it was just... ridiculous.

It almost felt as if I'd have to be a regular drug user to find it interesting. It starts developing a plot several times, then just ignores it and moves on its way.

I watched a similar, lesser known movie called "SLC Punk" a few months later and it was much better with a similar subject matter.

Lord of the Rings. Watched half of the very first movie, feel asleep, awoke and then left the theatre. Haven't even bothered to see the rest of the movie or any others.

I didn't technically sit through this, but Strange Wilderness was the worst movie I've ever tried to watch. Just awful.

Recently:
Meet the Spartans.

In my life: Lots.

Waterworld and The Postman.
The Quick & the Dead.
Most modern spoof movies like Dracula: Dead and loving it, Scary Movie and others. The spoofs are rarely as funny as the original.

House of the Dead. Street Fighter. Super Mario Brothers.

The Hulk. Ghost Rider. Ultraviolet. Bloodrayne. Aeon Flux. Daredevil. Some more comic book and other pop culture movies I have moved out of my brain.

Most of the recent National Lampoon movies. Dorm Daze was somewhat funny. All the others are crap.

Any movie where Ben Stiller, Jack Black or Will Ferrel are the main characters.
As supporting actors they all rock, (Keeping the Faith, High Fidelity, Drowning Mona) but they are NOT comic geniuses and are seriously overrated.

And this whole concept of making movies that are deliberately bad just irritates me. They arent funny. They're stupid. Will Ferrel is probably the biggest offender with Step Brothers, Blades Of Glory, Talladega Nights, Bewitched, Anchorman, Elf, and many more.

EDIT:
In reference to the above conversation: Trainspotting is on IMDB's top 250 list, which just blows my mind. I'll admit it was amusing but doesnt deserve to be on any TOP lists.

Hmmm interesting idea... I say you should start a new thread on Monday!

It takes a lot for me to walk out of a movie at a theater, I paid a decent chunk of change to see it there. Having said that, Ultraviolet is, hands down, the worst movie I've sad through.
