I love some of the responses, Doom3, Prince of Persia series. Hell, Prince of Persia was a game of the year.

And now, a real answer, I didn't buy it thank god, but I played the demo for "Area 51" and talk about complete crap. The game felt like I was just sent back to Duke Nukem days except with a worse game. I mean, I hated Halo for PC also, mainly because of how many Xbox fans hyped the hell out of it over the course of a year, but even it has nothing on Area 51.

In comparison, everything I've actually bought has been gold. Although, I do regret buying Bard's Tale probably the most.

Doom3 is only a real answer if you played about 5 games over the course of the last 3 years. Otherwise I don't see how you didn't play anything worse than it. I understand you have a bit of a grudge against it because it slept with your sister, I mean this much is obvious. Hell I could even understand it being your biggest dissapointment. But worst? Seriously. Perhaps you give Thief 3 too much credit? :)

Seriously

Yes, the WORST pile of steaming dog crap i EVERfinished . . . what don't you understand about "banal, boring, predictable, linear, irritating"?
:Q

there are UNdoubtedly worse games . . . i just never finished playing them ;)

Thief DS is a much better game than D3 in just about every respect . . . but it is a "sneaker" and the style of play is not to many gamers' liking. Riddick was my favourite game of the last few years.

Doom3 wasnt that bad imo. Its the Quake II Lost Marine Mod that is ridiculously aweful. Dont even think about downloading it. Its buggy as I dont know what.

SkyLab, it was based on one of the Terminator movies.
I am going back more than a couple of years though.

Worst game for me was Halo. I tried it on a friends Xbox once, and tried it on the PC, can't stand it.

I don't know how, I can see it becoming game of the year if they fixed the controls, but the controls and camera angles suck so bad, it just wasn't enjoyable to play. Although they had this great idea on their hands.

I got the game for PC, sat down and configured my controls and didn't have a single issue controlling the guy. Infact it is one of the games that makes movement very fluid: climbing, swinging, leaping off walls, running up the sides of them, jumping across platforms. Some of the best movement in a 3d game. I would suggest you take another look at it and sit down and check your controls before you get started, make sure you feel comfortable with them.

I remember the first time I used WASD in Quake1, before that point I was a keyboarder and never thought I'd get used to using a mouse for aiming, the crosshair was all over the screen and I kept forgetting where my movement keys were. But now it is second nature, I'd never use another setup because this one is truely superior. What you are saying about PoP is similar. The controls are fine, the game is amazing, but because you cannot get a handle on it, you've written an award winning game right off.
