What's the worst date you've ever had?

I searched, and the archives had a couple threads like this from 2001 and one from 2003. we're overdue for a rehashing (mainly because I wasn't a member then). Anyhoo, I think I have a tie...one from my younger years and one from recently:

recent date: I meet this girl outside of a bar, talk briefly to her, get her #, start talking....she goes to college near me...we agree to meet at UNO's...now she's very talkative on the phone, but on this date it was the POLAR opposite. It was the most akward silence I've ever experienced. Here's a snippet....

me:"do you have any siblings?'
her: "yes."...
me:"brother or sister?"
her: "both."
me: 'oh..um..younger or older?..."
her: "both."

And she would NOT start any conversation on her own, AND refused to give me anything to work with in conversation, all one word answers. Here's the kicker...she just sat there, not even blinking really, staring at me..The. Whole. Time. for like an hour. At one point I went to the men's room and tried to make a noose out of toilet paper and hang myself from the coat hook in the stall but the noose broke :(. I talked to her a few days later...it turns out she had a great time...WTF?

Some people are more outgoing over the phone and behind a computer. Once they're face to face with someone, they're different.

This is back in 8th grade. I'm fingering this girl in the woods behind the fair and when we go on the ground I pull out my cock for the first time in front of a girl. I wasn't sure what would happen but she leaned forward and started sucking on it. This lasts for 3 seconds when she stops and says we're going to fast. Afterwards I tell my friends about it and one of them tells everyone else. Next time I see her she starts crying and tells me to go away.

Long story short she breaks up with me. Fck.

But i got one to beat you by.. so i pick up this girl..she is on the phone.. she continues to be on the phone while we're on the drive to teh store.. she hardly talks to me when we get to the restaurant (remember 40 dollar rule), by tehn her phone is constantly ringing..

so i excuse myself to the mens room, and walk out.

Her and I were discussing things that irk us..

Me: I think it's retarded that so many people are on anti-depressants now. They're all just cry babies that can't deal with reality because their mom babied them too much. We should just go ahead and off them already.
Her: <silence and akward look>
Me: Anti-depressants?
Her: Yes...
Me: I'll go ahead and take you home now

Hmm, one of my bad dates happened as a result of my own stupidity. I guess this is more of a "group of 4" then a date, but you can look at it like a double date or whatever. We went to a club, had a few drinks, were getting a bit rowdy. I ended up on top of one of the tall floorstanding speakers with a girl. I was smoking a cigarette (this was overseas, so yeah it's okay) and either because I was too buzzed to realize it, or simply didn't care- flicked the lit butt into the sea of people below me. Promptly forgot about it.

A few seconds later, there's a scream, the crowd parts and there's this PISSED OFF dude yelling and shoving, trying to find out who threw the cigarette. Funniest part about it (don't know why I remember this so clearly), he had picked up the cigarette and was waving it around furiously. Now, it's hard to be intimidating when you're waving a .5 inch object that nobody can see, around your head. I ended up laughing hysterically in the midst of a crowd that was otherwise silent as a result of this sudden outburst. At this point he decided, quite correctly, that I was the culprit and started barreling over. I sobered up quick, and drew a knife.

He never made it over, but both my friend (who tried to intervene) and I got dragged out of the club. Getting pulled off a 5 ft speaker when you're intoxicated is no party either. And both our dates didn't make it out after us.

So at the end of the night, we had gotten ourselves successfully banned from the club (a ban which lasted the rest of that summer) and lost both our dates in the process (never spoke to them again). :(

dunno, i think anyone would give you odd looks and stuff if you mentioned "offing" people while on a date.

I think it has more to do with broken family units, and people over-prescribring them...but yeah.....smooth move.

Probably for the best though. I suggest everyone repeat that conversation on their first dates!

My story, from a couple years ago:

It's not very good as I don't date much. And below is an exact reason why:

I live in the only MAJOR city in my state, within this city there are a variety of bars and clubs to go to for nightlife, however, the "best" (as in, most populated) is a place called Chilkoot Charlie's, or "Koots" for short.

There was a server there that was smokingly hot. I have a very specifc taste in women that I want to do. The exotic the better. This girl had beautiful tan skin and a perky/small body that was simply awesome.

I see this girl working @ Koots for 6 months before I ever work up the nerve to ask her on a date. She, to my surprise, agreed and we exchanged phone numbers.

So before this date we talk on the phone a couple times. The conversations were wonderful. However, said day for the date came and I, in all my awesomeness, decided to sabotage it....

I went to the date drunk.

Ok, not DRUNK, but one of my girlfriends thought a GREAT way to calm my nerves was to go have a few drinks before going out. Yeah....WRONG.

All I think I need to say is: We never had a second date. What makes matters worse is that I still see her almost every time I go out....and she's still smokin hot. :(

It was a double date. Me and my friend went to a japanese restaurant to meet up with a girl that i met at a bar and one of her friends.

It started out ok, normal conversation. Somehow the convo started going towards basketball. My friend is a die-hard knicks fan and a big Laker hater so he goes off on the Lakers.

Unfortunately, thats when we found out she's a big Lakers fan and she's from LA. That pretty much killed it. She took a lot of offense to it.
