What's the worst average midterm grade for a class you've seen?

Had a philosophy class that everyone got 0/100 on a test.

The test had only one question ...

"Why?"


Most people wrote like 2 page essays, etc...
A few wrote short smart ass answers..



Supposedly, the correct answer was

"Why not?"

Not one got it exacty right, everyone got a 0 ...
Some people freaked out, the typical "must have an A" types...
The teacher the next day said the test was just a test and wouldn't count against anyone.

I thought it was kinda funny.

That would piss me off. It's a waste of everyone's freak'n time.

I had a particle physics midterm where the average was about 30. This was a combined undergrad/grad course too.

Although I haven't gotten the mark back yet, I just took one monday that everyone did really bad on too... Radiative processes in astrophysics.

It's kind of odd to see grown people crying after an exam.
