kuk, I'll beg to differ on that pizza thing. The Old Post Office in DC is a real tourist trap. No food there is good.
When in DC, you shoulda gone to Armand's (I think that's the name of it, haven't been there in a few years). AWESOME Pizza. Thick n' cheesy. I've never eaten pizza in Italy, but have in a few other countries. The pizza in the US is far better than some other countries.
If you like thin pizza, the best I've had was in Boston at Regina's. The original one someplace downtown (my dad and I kinda stumbled upon it by accident). Nice n' greasy, especially when you add extra olive oil.
One of my favorite things to eat when I was younger was peanut butter and bologna sandwiches. Good stuff. My grandmother used to make pickles from watermelon rinds. My father, he was in the Air Force and traveled all over, ate a bowl of congealed blood once. He also did the little bit that's big in Japan(I think, he told me the story when I was a little younger) with the snake. You pick a snake out, they drain the blood into a shot glass with vodka or something, you shoot the blood, then you eat the snake.
Pig blood. It's congealed and has some other type of meat mixed in with it. Looks like jello, tasted really weird. Not really bad, but I wouldn't eat it again. Asians always have the weirdest stuff.
Atom, you've got that right. I'm a thoroughly Americanized South Korean. Some of that stuff, bleh! But some of the other stuff is damn good! I remember some of the stuff I had on a trip to Korea a few years back. Good stuff.
Buffalo Burgers, Squirle (not bad, like a little chicken, tastes like cold chicken reheated IMO), some things that are kinda strange for the US (at least my area), gray on french fries, and Malt viniger on fries. I know i have toher things but i can't think of them right now. 'nite
Edit : Dog Treats, have tryed them all exsept the green. Didn't really like any of them too dry. But my teath were bright and my coat shinny.
Pigeon this past summer in France.
Live abalone - snorkeling in baja calif... just pry it off the rock and jump up to the boat for a little lemon juice and tabasco. Dice it up and use the shell as a plate! Yumm!
