What's the water temp for a hot shower?

I was thinking about this-water boils at 220. You can hop into a pool where the water temp is 80 and it still feels relatively cold (at least, far colder than any of us would ever take a shower at).

So, how close are we to boiling ourselves everytime we take a hot shower or get in the hot tub? What's the actual water temp range for those things?

98°F in a Jaccuzzi and I can be in there for nearly an infinity. Remember, your body temperature is about 98.6°F.
100°F and I can be in there for a couple of hours.
102°F and I can be in there for 30 minutes before being quite uncomfortable.
104°F and I must leave after 15 minutes.
106°F and I don't like to be in there at all.

Move that +-2°F depending on your personal tastes.

Humidity is also a factory with air temperature.

I like 108 to 110 for the hot tub / shower. Its extremly hot at first but then your body gets used to it and its nice.

In the land of shoddy memory. 🙂 In fact, I live in high altitude, so the bp is even lower (202).

Oh well, forgive my ignorance. 🙂

I don't like to sweat IN the shower!
Sweating in the shower is no problem. Sweating AFTER the shower since you are still too hot is what really bothers me. I hate taking a shower and still feeling dirty and smelly afterwards.

120-130F?

Like being cooked much? LOL

Yes, yes I do. If my skin isn't red when I get out it wasn't a proper shower. 😛

Actually, that's the best shower: the hot water opens up your pores and the sweat washes toxins away.

Yes it is, and it's located here in the south. During the summer months they add a second shift, which increases production by as much as 95%.

Water heater was dialed up to around 110. Now that I have a toddler in the house I've bumped it back to around 90.
